Introduction
The video shows the second-stage penile urethral reconstruction, after the first-stage urethroplalsty which took place 6 months before.
Material and methods
Patient 40 years old with very tight penile urethral stricture. He underwent first-stage buccal mucosa penile urethroplasty 6 month before.
The video shows the complete urethral and penile reconstruction.
Surgical technique: incision of the margins of the urethral plate which was created during the first-stage buccal mucosa urethroplasty.
Reconstruction of a new urethral tube with aesthetic reconstruction of the penis and the glans.
Results
After 10 days we remove the catheter.
After 1 month the patient was satisfied of the urinary function and of the aesthetical reconstruction of the penis and the glans.
Moreover there are no fistulae.
6 months after the operation the result was unchanged.
Conclusion
Staged urethroplasty guarantees a good urethral reconstruction with low complication and high success rate.
Nowadays we must perform the aesthetic penile reconstruction.
